IAF announces IAC 2023 as the most diverse in its history

The 74th International Astronautical Congress, organized by the IAF and hosted in Baku by Azercosmos, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was a resounding success, IAF said. After 50 years, the IAC returned to the city of Baku, where it first hosted the 24th International Astronautical Congress in 1973. During the opening ceremony, Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, warmly welcomed the IAC delegates.

Thailand and Airbus Successfully launch THEOS-2 Satellite

The Airbus-built THEOS-2 Earth observation satellite has been successfully launched on a Vega rocket from Kourou, Europe’s spaceport in French Guiana. The Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency of Thailand (GISTDA) selected Airbus as a partner for its next-generation national geo-information system in 2018.

ESA and Axiom Space Partner for Axiom Station

The European Space Agency ESA and Axiom Space have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore collaborative opportunities in human spaceflight, science, technology, and commercialization. ESA and Axiom Space signed the MoU in Paris last week. The MoU addressed various key areas, including wider collaboration, astronaut missions, and innovation in spacesuits. Through the MoU, both organizations have expressed the intent to foster science and technology development, potentially collaborating on Axiom Space missions to the International Space Station

Airbus Selects Tesat for Quad Microwave Power Modules

TESAT has signed a contract with Airbus to supply newly designed Quad Microwave Power Modules (Quad-MPM) for OneSat. This agreement follows from the European Space Agency (ESA) and TESAT's development program to improve the functionalities and design of MPMs. This consequently laid the foundation for the final design and qualification process for the Quad-MPM.
