SpaceWatch.Global is a digital magazine and portal for people who follow space and the reach of what happens there – in orbit, in policy, and in the geopolitics that increasingly runs through both.
We cover the technology moving the industry toward the next frontier, and what it means: space policy, exploration and missions, security and defence, the commercial sector, and the regional space programmes that rarely make the front page elsewhere. Analysis, forecasts and insight, published every weekday.
We have been covering the space sector for more than a decade – since 2015, first as Thorgroup in Bern, today as SpaceWatch.Global GmbH in Berlin.
In that time we have published more than 11,000 articles by a worldwide network of around 25 contributors, and produced more than 440 podcast episodes across three shows.
We are read in more than 200 countries and territories. Our core readership – around 27,000 people a month – is in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and France.
Our YouTube channel, SpaceWatch.Global TV, has more than 38,000 subscribers and a library of more than 1,350 videos.
The team is a mix of space specialists, technologists, policy analysts and regional experts who know their markets from the inside. We believe space should be used for humanity – that it creates knowledge and enriches societies.
Independence and transparency
SpaceWatch.Global is published by SpaceWatch.Global GmbH, an independently owned company registered in Berlin and based just outside the city in Stahnsdorf, Brandenburg. No institutional investor, agency or government holds a stake in our editorial judgement.
Our revenue comes from advertising, Business Club memberships and commissioned content. Commercial content is labelled as such and kept separate from our editorial coverage. Where an event organiser covers costs for our reporting, we disclose it.
We follow the Society of Professional Journalists’ Code of Ethics – we seek truth and report it. Every member of our team and every contributor signs it, personally. How we source, verify, correct, label and, where relevant, use AI tools is set out in our Editorial Standards.
