ArianeGroup CEO to step down

Andre-Hubert Roussel will step down as CEO of ArianeGroup- a French aerospace joint venture between Airbus and Safran - French newspaper La Tribune reported on the 30th of March. ArianeGroup lost nearly a quarter of its turnover in 2022, this is largely due to the Russian-Ukrainian war and delays in Ariane 6 - which could be postponed until the first half of 2024.

Independent Enquiry Commission Concludes Vega-C VV22 Failure

The Arianespace and ESA-set up independent inquiry commission has disclosed its conclusions on the reasons for the loss of the Vega-C VV22 mission after its launch in French Guiana on Tuesday, 20 December 2022. According to the Commission, after the nominal functioning of the Vega-C first stage P120C and nominal ignition of the second stage (Zefiro 40), a progressive decrease in the chamber pressure 151 seconds after lift-off led to the loss of the mission.

Ariane 5 successfully launches Eutelsat’s Konnect VHTS satellite

Arianespace’s heavy-lift launcher, Ariane 5, flight VA258, has successfully deployed Eutelsat’s Konnect VHTS (Very High Throughput Satellite) telecommunications satellite in orbit. This was the launcher’s second mission of the year, the 114th overall, and the 37th time that Ariane launched a satellite for Eutelsat.

Arianespace to launch Eutelsat’s Konnect satellite on Ariane 5

Launch company Arianespace, is to launch satellite operator Eutelsat’s Konnect VHTS (Very High Throughput Satellite) telecommunications satellite built by Thales Alenia Space, aboard an Ariane 5 rocket on 6th September, Arianespace said. Eutelsat aims to provide high-speed internet access throughout Europe, even in isolated regions, with the help of the mission.
