MDA Ltd has announced it is working with Thoth Technology Inc. to create a made-in-Canada deep space radar surveillance and space domain awareness (SDA) capability. As part of a strategic cooperation agreement, MDA will integrate its commercial data services with Thoth's ground-based radar technology to provide unprecedented levels of sovereign monitoring in deep space over Canada, providing both detection and characterization of space objects.

ispace, inc. has announced the former NASA astronaut and U.S. Air Force Colonel (Ret) Ronald J. Garan Jr as CEO of ispace Technologies U.S., inc. Mr. Garan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business economics from the State University of New York College at Oneonta and a Master of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In addition, Garan also earned a Master of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Florida.

Neumann Space has announced that it has signed a contract with Space Inventor, a European microsatellite manufacturer, that will enable it to gain greater access to space as part of its program of in-orbit demonstration (IOD). As part of the contract, Space Inventor will provide Neumann Space with the opportunity to integrate its next-generation Neumann Drive as an IOD payload on board a 6U EDISON Satellite that will tentatively launch in the second half of 2024.

Teodoro Valente, the new president of the Italian Space Agency (ASI), has resumed office at the agency's headquarters in Rome. Valente's candidacy was proposed by the COMINT, chaired by Adolfo Urso, the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy.

The very first Langkawi International Space Forum (LISF) was officially inaugurated by the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. The opening address set the tone for the conference and the need to develop a strong space industry in the ASEAN region.
