French space antenna equipment manufacturer, Anywaves, has raised €3 million in funding which will allow the company to reach industrial maturity, Anywaves said. The company had previously raised €1.5 million in an initial financing round in 2019.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 successfully launched Eutelsat’s Hotbird-13F geostationary communications satellite, NASA said. This was the 47th Falcon 9 flight this year and the third flight for booster B1069.

Australia selected Airbus as the strategic partner for Defence’s Resilient Multi-mission Space STaR Shot, a strategic research program established to develop future space capabilities for the Australian Defence Force (ADF), Australia’s Defence said. Satellite developer and integrator, Airbus Defence and Space, was chosen by a panel of experts from Defence and the Australian Space Agency.

Antenna developer, Anywaves, has signed a contract with Airbus Defence and Space to supply antennas for over 15 satellite platforms for a project for space infrastructure provider, Loft Orbital, Anywaves said. According to the contract, Anywaves will provide more than 70 products for the platforms to be deployed by Loft Orbital.

ESA has confirmed after a thorough review process that the preliminary design of the Airbus-built Copernicus Polar Ice and Snow Topography Altimetry mission CRISTAL, meets all system requirements, Airbus said. CRISTAL will measure sea ice thickness and ice sheet elevations with the help of a multi-frequency altimeter.

Airbus Defence and Space and its EGNOS V3 system has passed an initial service performance review successfully. The program is managed under a partnership agreement between the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence, Industry and Space, the European Union Agency for the Space Programme and ESA.
