Eutelsat Communications SA, one of the world's satellite operators, have announced the completion of its all-share combination with OneWeb, the global low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications network, following the approval at the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meeting of Eutelsat shareholders. Furthermore, this combination forms the Eutelsat Group, with its headquarters located in Paris. In addition, OneWeb will be a subsidiary operating commercially as Eutelsat OneWeb, with its center of operations remaining in London.

In addition, Omnispace successfully demonstrated its non-geostationary (NGSO) IoT satellite connectivity at 'The Things Conference' in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The German Federal Government, through the federal cabinet, have approved a new space strategy. The new space strategy recognizes the increasing importance of space for society, focusing on current and future challenges. In addition, this new strategy places particular emphasis on advancing private-sector initiatives in space, known as New Space - the use of space applications to combat climate change and responsible and sustainable actions related to space.

The European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Commission have signed an agreement on the 21st of September to use space to help keep information secure. 

Intelsat, operator of one of the integrated satellite and terrestrial networks and provider of inflight connectivity (IFC), have announced that its multi-orbit network offerings, relying on LEO and GEO satellites, will be available to airlines and aircraft lessors through Airbus’ Airspace Link (HBCplus) solution.
