OneWeb has announced a distribution partnership agreement with Q-KON Africa, a specialist technology company that supplies solutions based on satellite, wireless, and VoIP technologies to offer broadband connectivity services in African countries. Q-KON Africa connects “off-grid” locations through their satellite broadband service, Twoobii, to core networks throughout Africa reliably and effectively.

Airbus and ArianeGroup have signed a contract covering the next transition batch of Ariane 6 large carbon fibre structures, Airbus said. Under the contract, Airbus will manufacture and supply innovative, lightweight, large structures for the next fourteen Ariane 6 launch vehicles.

Human spaceflight services provider Axiom Space, and the Hungarian government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to advance opportunities in space research and technology development, Axiom said. This is the second agreement between the company and Hungary.

The French National Space Agency CNES (Centre National d'Etude Spatiales), in collaboration with the European Space Agency and Aerospace Valley, organized the ActInSpace hackathon from 18 to 19 November 2022. The international spatial hackathon is dedicated to imagining products and services of tomorrow thanks to space applications, and it simultaneously held in 34 countries and 65 cities on five continents with 1,700 global participants.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has announced the successful candidates for the ESA class of 2022. The announcement took place at Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, under the auspices of the Council Meeting at Ministerial Level (CM22).

On the conclusion of the second day of ESA's Ministerial Council, held in Paris o the 22 and 23 of November 2022, Josef Aschbacher, ESA's Director General, together with French Minister Bruno Le Maire, announces a new budget for ESA amounting to 16.9 billion euro, 17% increase from 2019. Aschbacher initially asked for 18 billion, to forefront the challenges ESA is facing to detach from Russia dependency and develop a sovereign launching system.
