NASA’s SpaceX Crew-5 mission arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) following their launch on Wednesday from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, NASA stated. The crew is the fifth commercial crew rotation mission launched in partnership with SpaceX.

Astra, a small rocket-building company, has disclosed that it received a delisting warning from the American stock exchange, Nasdaq, after its stock went below $1 per share for 30 consecutive days, contravening the exchange’s requirements.

The Arab Satellite Communications Organization, Arabsat, signed a contract with SpaceX to launch its 7A satellite, Arabist said. Arabsat 7A is the first of the company’s 7th generation satellites, featuring the latest technologies with regards to manufacturing, payload, performance, and flexibility.

Space company Southern Launch, signed a Space Situational Awareness (SSA) Sharing Agreement with the United States Space Command (USSPACECOM), Southern Launch said. According to the agreement, Southern Launch will notify the United States Space Command about its upcoming launches.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved a rule to shorten the time frame in which satellite operators should deorbit their low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, the FCC announced. The new rule states that operators now have five years instead of 25, to safely deorbit their defunct spacecraft.

Metals company Talon Metals, and Australian space company Fleet Space Technologies, have agreed to pilot Fleet’s ExoSphere rapid mineral exploration solution at Talon’s high-grade nickel deposit exploration projects, Fleet Space said. Talon is aiming to supply the US domestic battery supply chain with nickel and other battery materials.

Florida Space infrastructure company Redwire, has entered into a definitive agreement with QinetiQ Group to acquire its science and engineering company,  QinetiQ Space NV, a Belgium-based commercial space business providing design and integration for end-to-end space missions. Redwire will acquire Space NV for €32 million subject to customary approvals and closing conditions. The deal is expected to close in Q4 2022.

Satellite telecommunications operator Sateliot, partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build a cloud native 5G service designed to provide customers with secure and reliable narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) connectivity over non-terrestrial network using its low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation, Sateliot said.
