Firefly Aerospace Acquires Spaceflight Inc.

Firefly Aerospace has announced the acquisition of Spaceflight Inc. to strengthen Firefly’s on-orbit solutions and service the entire lifecycle of customers’ satellites and spacecraft. The acquisition further supports Firefly’s robust portfolio of low-cost space transportation services, including responsive launch and in-space mobility, on-orbit hosting and servicing, and lunar delivery operations. However, the announcement did not disclose the terms of the transaction.

The 16th Edition of Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), a biennial exhibition/conference, officially commenced on 23rd May 2023 in Langkawi (Malaysia) after a covid break. An exhibition traditionally focused on defence and military applications of aerospace and maritime is no stranger to displays of missiles, gun and automatic weapon prototypes and drones.

Nelco invests in router maker to improve Indian satcoms network

Nelco, an Indian satellite communications provider, has invested around $122 million in Piscis Networks, a network equipment start-up based in Mumbai, to bolster its services amid a growing competitive threat from international players. Nelco said in a stock exchange filing that it had bought an initial stake of just over 9% in Piscis Networks. Under the deal, Nelco can increase its stake to 30%.
