The company invited media to join a virtual visit to the cleanroom on Wednesday, 6 October, watch the delivery of ESM-2 and look at ESM-3. Airbus continues to survey the sea for UK Royal Navy

Airbus will continue to provide the UK Royal Navy with satellite-based maritime surveillance services, the company said. The UK Royal Navy has awarded a 12-month contract extension to Airbus covering the continued provision of satellite-based maritime surveillance services for the Joint Maritime Security Centre (JMSC), Airbus said.

Airbus leads European quantum internet consortium

The European Commission has selected a consortium of companies and research institutes to study the design of the future European quantum communication network, EuroQCI. EuroQCI is to enable ultra-secure communication between critical infrastructures and government institutions across the European Union. The consortium is led by Airbus and includes Leonardo, Orange, and PwC.

EU court backs ESA on excluding OHB in Galileo contract

The European Court of Justice rejected a request by OHB System to suspend a decision by the European Space Agency (ESA) to exclude the German satellite company from a Galileo public contract, which went to its rivals Airbus and Thales Alenia Space, Reuters and other newswires reported. The court also dismissed OHB's application for interim relief, the reports said.
