A new consortium of international companies, called IRSA Development Group (IDG), was announced 1 October 2019 at DEFSEC Atlantic in Halifax, Canada. IDG consists of international companies with expertise in selected technology domains to bring the world an advanced remote sensing network.

Centre national d'etudes spatiales (CNES) President Jean-Yves Le Gall and Jean-Paul Moatti, Chairman and CEO of the Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD), the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development, signed a framework cooperation agreement at the agency’s Toulouse Space Centre on space supporting the development of Southern Nations on 18 October 2019.

Maxar Technologies, a trusted partner and innovator in Earth Intelligence and Space Infrastructure, announced on 22 October 2019 it has signed a joint statement of strategic intent and cooperation with the Australian Space Agency.

The head of the Egyptian Space Agency announced that Egypt intends to send an astronaut to the International Space Station (ISS) during a visit to Cairo by a delegation from the UAE Space Agency (UAESA) on 16 October 2019.

The Vietnamese government has finally made the formal order for its LotuSat-1 Earth observation satellite from Japanese satellite manufacturer NEC and Sumitomo Corp. The order was made in Tokyo on Friday, 18 October 2019.
