Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Saudi Arabia on 13-15 October 2019 has put space cooperation between the two countries back in the spotlight following the landmark Saudi-Russian space cooperation agreement signed in October 2017.

UK Defence Minister Anne-Marie Trevelyan has announced a £1.5 million investment in 12 ground-breaking space innovation projects.The announcement marks the next step in the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory’s (Dstl) ‘Space to Innovate’ competition, which sought to find and fund new technologies that could improve the UK’s resilience, awareness and capability in space.

This situation has been widely acknowledged by governmental and commercial stakeholders, including European ones.

Speedcast and the Australian Space Agency signed a statement of cooperation today outlining Speedcast's intentions to support the agency's ambitious goal of tripling the nation's space sector in size and creating 20,000 new jobs by 2030.
