Thai space technology company mu Space announced on 16 June 2019 that it has signed multiple satellite service deals with seven companies from Asia-Pacific.

Airbus has been selected by MEASAT Global Berhad (MEASAT), the leading Malaysian operator, to build MEASAT-3D, a new multimission telecommunications satellite to replace capacity and augment its core business in Malaysia, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.

Telesat has announced that its new Telstar 18 VANTAGE high throughput satellite (HTS) is fully operational at 138 degrees East and has entered commercial service. Telstar 18 VANTAGE was launched by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on 10 September 2018 and will serve growing demand for mobility, enterprise, and telecom services across the Asia-Pacific region.

Satellite communications equipment provider Global Invacom Group called for trading in its shares to be suspended on Tuesday, 23 October 2018, before the Singaporean stock market opened, revealing that its negotiations regarding a possible reverse acquisition are taking longer than expected.
