Start the summer with a kick with Space Café Italy! We will return on the 1st of June 2022 at 6 pm CEST time with another exceptional guest from the Italian space business sector. Massimo Claudio Comparini, CEO of Thales Alenia Space Italy, will join Dr. Emma Gatti in an informal chat to discuss the main challenges of the Space sector at global scale, the path to sustainability, and the role of the government and the larger corporation in fostering a fertile environment for the Italian space economy. Join us for what is predicted to be an in-depth conversation with one of the longer-lasting players in the field.

Massimo Claudio Comparini, former CEO at eGeos since 2016 and Director Line of Business Geo Information at Telespazio, has a long and proven track record in the space industry, from technology to services, and in the earth observation domain. Massimo holds a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Remote Sensing and Radar Systems, University of Rome La Sapienza (Italy), and a Degree in Strategy from Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, CA (USA). He started his career in 1983 at Selenia Spazio (later Alenia Spazio) and in 2016 he became the CEO of eGeos, an ASI (20%) and Telespazio (80%) company. He is also the Chairman of GAF and EarthLab Luxembourg and an expert member on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Advanced Studies, Research and Development in Sardinia (CSR4).

Dr. Emma Gatti, a former NASA scientist, is a broadcaster and a science writer. She follows the exploration of the Moon and Mars and analyses trends in the Space geopolitical sector. She is a host for Space Cafè Radio and the presenter of Space Cafè Italy.
