Russian businesses have reportedly bought a majority share of the Russian Joint Venture of OneWeb's satellite communications megaconstellation for its business operations in Russia

Arianespace played a significant role in improving global connectivity with its 27 February 2019 Soyuz launch that deployed the initial six satellites in OneWeb’s constellation – which will provide affordable high-speed internet access for users around the world.

Affordable worldwide internet coverage is one step closer as of 18 February 2019, after 18 million pounds (U.S.$23.2 million) of UK Space Agency funding was awarded to OneWeb through the European Space Agency (ESA), to aid the development of its next generation satellite constellation.

Four new O3b Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites have arrived safely at the Guiana Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana, in preparation for launch by a Soyuz rocket from Arianespace in late March 2019, SES has announced.

An Arianespace medium-lift Soyuz launch vehicle transported the French CSO-1 reconnaissance satellite safely to orbit on 19 December 2018. Azerbaijan’s second communications satellite, Azerspace-2, will reach its intended Geostationary orbit - 45 degrees East longitude - in January or February 2019, according to the country’s state space corporation Azercosmos, reports Trend News Agency.
