Angela Mathis will be hosting a lively talk on the key outcomes of the ‘Sustainable Space Challenges’ campaign with:

The ‘Sustainable Space Challenges’ campaign results from the innovative thinking of the Scottish Space Leadership Council (SSLC) and has been led by Kristina Tamane (University of Edinburgh) & Daniel Smith (AstroAgency & Responsive Access) – as SSLC Environmental Task Force Co-Chairs. Their work was supported by workstream leads from Spire, AAC Clyde Space, Skyrora, and the Science & Technology Facilities Council.

Along with cross-sectoral partners ranging from Friends of the Earth and the European Space Agency to the Scotch Whisky Association and the Scottish Government, the SSLC set out to better understand the environmental impact of the space industry and what would be required for the industry to make a positive contribution to ‘Net Zero’.

The initiative culminates in the Sustainable Space Summit on June 23rd, one week before this special edition of Space Café Scotland.

This Space Café Scotland will be conducted in English on 1st July 2021 at 4 pm CEST and is brought to you in partnership with a strategic space marketing firm, AstroAgency, supported by ESA Space Solutions
