Southern Space – A view of the Italian Space industry in the southern regions

With Prof. Luigi Carrino and Dr.ssa Mariella Pappalepore.

Italy still presents a deep economical difference between northern regions, closer to European standards when it comes to GDP and services, and southern regions, still lagging behind. Stalled by complex political issues and economical difficulties, the south is torn between difficult to exacerbate mentalities and the strong desire to blossom and flourish, and to cultivate a new mentality when it comes to environmental and ecological preservation. It should not come as a surprise then that several space tech industries, often focused on tech development, earth monitoring and sustainability, are flourishing in the south. Can the Space domain bring sustainable growth and population wealth to these areas? We will discuss this with Prof. Luigi Carrino, President of Distretto Tecnologico Aerospaziale della Campania and Dr.ssa Mariella Pappalepore, the CFO of Planetek Italia. Don’t miss this episode on the 5th of April at 6 pm CEST time.

The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions in dialogue with Prof. Luigi Carrino and Dr.ssa Mariella Pappalepore.

This Space Café Italy will be conducted in Italian.
