Luxembourg, 15 September 2021. – Six European space start-ups founded the Young European Enterprises Syndicate (YEESS) to “facilitate and accelerate the New Space dynamic in Europe”, the companies said yesterday at the launch of YESS on the Space Forum in Luxembourg.

The founding members of YEESS are Aerospacelab, Anywaves, ConstellR, Exotrail, Pangea Aerospace and Satlantis, from Belgium, France, Germany, and Spain. YEESS is presided by Satlantis CEO Juan Tomas Hernani.

The YEESS initiative wants to represent New Space enterprises in Europe to advocate for “transparency and equilibrium in public effort space contracts”, create direct interfaces for young space enterprises with the European institutions, help allocate resources, create mutual trust and foster the development of its members, YEESS said. The syndicate wants to grow to over thirty active European members in the upcoming weeks.

YEESS is open to any young European space enterprise incorporated more than two and less than ten years ago and having its headquarters in one of the EU or ESA member state countries, the initiative added.
