Paris, 5 October 2020. – Spacebit, a space robotics and rover specialist, secured a second Moon mission for 2021, in support of NASA’s Artemis program, the UK-based company said.
Spacebit will do its second ride to the Moon with Houston-based Intuitive Machines on the Nova-C lander in 2021, the company announced.
Spacebit is developing micro-rover technologies and rover deployment systems to carry scientific payloads; it has marked the UK’s first mission to the Moon with the first Moon-walking rover Asagumo, the company said.
Intuitive Machines was awarded a NASA contract in 2019 and will launch its Nova-C lander in October 2021 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, Spacebit said.
