This Space Café Russia will be hosted by Elina Morozova, Executive Director of the Intersputnik International Organization of Space Communications and friend of SpaceWatch.Global in conversation with Dr Victor Strelets, a high caliber expert in the field of radio frequencies and satellite orbits with 40-year practical experience, including within the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), regional telecommunications organizations, and the administration of the Russian Federation.

Dr Victor Strelets will explain what the orbit and frequency resource is, why it is so highly demanded, and how the ITU, the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies (ICTs), manages these natural limited resources of outer space. Dr Victor Strelets will share his experience in the working bodies of the ITU. This includes Plenipotentiary Conferences (PPs), World Radiocommunication Conferences (WRCs), and the Radio Regulations Board (RRB) which was earlier chaired by Dr Strelets. During this conversation, the latest trends and urgent topics of the utilization of radio frequencies and satellite orbits will be discussed, including the deployment of large satellite constellations and related issues of conjunction avoidance and space debris.

The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions in dialogue with Dr Victor Strelets.

This Space Café Russia will be conducted in the Russian language on 4th June 2021 at 4 pm CEST / 5 pm MSK to engage more people in the ongoing dialogue on current space law and policy issues.
