Aarhus, 5 July 2022. – The European think-tank for space, the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) and research and academic charity, the London Institute of Space Policy and Law (ISPL), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on areas such as research, events and activities, research visits, research network and engagement, ISPL said.

The organizations will collaborate on commissions and studies, reports and publications, as well as share research outcomes. They will contribute to each other’s publications and engage in knowledge exchange, ISPL stated.

The MoU also includes arranging and promoting joint and separate events such as conferences, seminars, roundtables, and workshops. ESPI and ISPL will work to establish a broad research network for the horizontal engagement of space research entities across the globe. The parties will collaborate to bring the general public, academia, and industry closer together as well.

The MoU is in harmony with ISPL’s mission “to pursue impartial study and development of space policies and related laws to advance human interaction with outer space and its use for the betterment of life.”
