
Ibadan, August 1 2025. – USGIF has welcomed three new members to their Board of Directors: Mark Andress, Jeff Bongianino, and Kevin O’Connell. Together, the new board members will contribute to advancing USGIF’s mission to promote the geospatial intelligence tradecraft and build a stronger, more connected GEOINT community.
Mark Andress currently serves in dual roles at Oracle. As General Manager, he leads cloud, software, and hardware sales across the Department of Defense. He also supports executive engagement and customer relations across all other federal business units, connecting with key leaders from both government and industry throughout the GEOINT Community.
Before joining Oracle, Andress served as Chief Information Officer and Director of the CIO-T Directorate at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). During his time, he led the agency’s global IT and cybersecurity operations.
Likewise, Jeff Bongianino is the General Manager of the Advanced GEOINT Systems (AGS) Commercial Product Center at BAE Systems. In this position, he leads the development of advanced geospatial intelligence and cybersecurity products. Over his career, Jeff has built deep operational and technical experience across geospatial data production, mission support, and IT services.
At BAE Systems, he has served in a wide range of leadership roles in business development, operations, and engineering. Jeff also previously led IT services at NJVC in support of the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence.
The third new board member, Kevin O’Connell is a recognized expert on space commerce, international intelligence, and national security. He most recently served as Director of the Office of Space Commerce at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he led efforts to expand the U.S. commercial space sector and advance space sustainability.
Kevin’s career has included key roles at the Department of Defense, Department of State, National Security Council, and RAND Corporation.
