Yahsat Signs New Service Partnership with Teknomobil

Yahsat, the UAE-based satellite operator, announced on 28 November 2016 that it has signed an agreement with a local service partner, Teknomobil Inc, to distribute its satellite broadband service, YahClick, to users across Turkey.

Farhad Khan, Chief Commercial Officer, Yahsat said, “Historically, Turkey has been a significant market for satellite services and over the last few years it has exhibited a substantial surge in the demand for high-speed broadband. With the introduction of high throughput satellites and the availability of higher bandwidth, an increasing number of government and private organizations are switching to broadband services that are cost effective.

“We have been delivering unparalleled connectivity to this growing market since November 2013, and with the addition of Teknomobil Inc to our network of esteemed strategic partners, we look forward to catering to the increasing domestic demand through the provision of our cost-effective, Ka-band solutions.” Teknomobil, one of the largest satellite communication companies in Turkey, specializes in providing solutions ranging from satellite communication, hand held satellite terminals, IP modems, helicopter mounted and airborne satellite communication systems and vessel tracking systems.

Selim Gencler, Chairman of Board, at Teknomobil Inc said, “YahClick solutions will enable us to effectively cater to a diverse range of customers ranging from government clients to corporate organizations. Alongside our mobile satellite services, the provision of YahClick VNO connectivity solutions will further empower us to deliver cost-effective, reliable services to the market.”

Tailored YahClick solutions, from Teknomobil Inc, available across Turkey from Q4 2016, will enable users to have instantaneous access to global market intelligence, improve information transfer and real-time data.
