SpaceWatch Middle East is invited to “A GoodFestival” in Lausanne

goodThe GoodFestival will take place between 25 – 29 October 2016 at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne. The goal of the Festival is to foster projects for sustainability that are compliant with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Eight of these goals were defined as categories of the GoodFestival: Food & Shelter; Health & Good Living; Safe Communities; Education; Environmental Balance; Start-up Support; Art, Music & Culture; and Clean Energy. These goals were agreed by around 190 countries in September 2015, in New York.

This also allowed the GoodFestival to identify the target audience for the event. GoodFestival is targeted at sustainable innovators. The Artists, Entrepreneurs, Scientists, Writers, Doctors, Filmmakers and other practitioners –  the “doers” who are building a better world. It does not matter whether the business model is for-profit or non-profit; whether the Innovator is established or a start-up; or she/he is an artist, business person or both. The only thing that matters is that the initiative is contributing to a better world. And the aim of GoodFestival is to connect the Innovators to Fans, Funds & Fame.

SpaceWatch Middle East is taking part in the “Education” category. Our goal is to educate our global audience about the space activities of the Middle East in a geopolitical context. We also aim to inspire the next generation to explore STEM and space for themselves.

The “Education” category covers projects, products and services that provide education and training to local communities. Your project may train people on the job to enable them to gather new skills. You may be working to eradicate gender inequality. Perhaps you are training a new breed of teachers. Maybe your project is focused on ending all forms of discrimination against  women, girls and the LGBT community. The GoodFestival “Education” category is aligned to the UN SDGs 4, 5 & 8.

We would like to ask our Readers to support our GoodFestival project. Please find here the link to an ad-hoc crowdfunding page which we hope will engage young writers and authors to make their own contributions to SpaceWatch Middle Easthttp://www.onemillionsparks.com/campaigns/spacewatch-middle-east/

We are grateful for your support. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. We would be delighted to hear from you!
