Switzerland will take no part in the European Union’s Copernicus Earth observation program in the coming years due to budget constraints according to local new outlets. This comes despite the Country's parliamentary approval to join the program.
The Swiss Federal Council noted that Switzerland could not participate in Copernicus from 2028 to 2034 as the country grapples with a tricky financial situation. However, the country's Federal Council may reconsider participation in 2032.
