Eutelsat Halts Sale of its Passive Ground Segment Infrastructure Assets after Conditions Remained Unmet

Eutelsat has disclosed that the transaction for the sale of its passive ground segment infrastructure assets to private equity investor, EQT Infrastructure VI, will not proceed anymore, as all conditions precedent for the sale have not been satisfied.

Were the sale to have continued, Eutelsat would have made net proceeds of up to €550m from the transaction. Meanwhile, the negative annualized impact on the company's adjusted EBITDA in relation with the service agreement it entered into with the prospective buyer would have amounted to €75-80m.
