ESA has contracted GomSpace to participate in the Rapid Apophis Mission for Space Safety (RAMSES) with the contract valued at EUR 900,000. RAMSES aims to study the near-Earth asteroid 99942 Apophis during its exceptionally close approach to Earth in April 2029. GomSpace will consequently participate in phase A/B of the mission with a 12-month contract.
