Rocket Lab Successfully Launches StriX Satellite for Synspective

Rocket Lab has successfully launched Synspective's new StriX satellite aboard the Electron rocket from the Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 on New Zealand’s Mahia Peninsula. The mission, "Owl For One, One For Owl"  lifted off at 16:39 UTC, on August 2nd and deployed the fifth of Synspective’s StriX SAR-imaging satellites to low Earth orbit. In addition to the launch service, Rocket Lab provided a custom Electron fairing to encapsulate the StriX satellite and performed an advanced mid-mission maneuver with Electron’s Kick Stage to shield the satellite from the sun and reduce radiation exposure on its way to orbit.
