The European Space Agency (ESA)'s Space Debris Office has published the 2024 edition of its annual Space Environment Report. The report provides a transparent overview of global space activities and determines how well these and other international debris-reduction measures are improving the long-term sustainability of spaceflight. The report simulated the future evolution of the debris population to assess the efficacy of proposed mitigation actions and of current behaviours relating to space debris.
