In his conversation with Lukasz, Maciej will talk about his experience in the space sector, focusing primarily on the use of Earth observation data to support various economic sectors and public policies. He will describe how this data supports social development and is useful for everyday life. An important part of the discussion will initiatives like Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem and the process of building satellite data repositories, accessing and storing current and historical data using cloud technologies and providing services to major entities such as the European Commission, EUMETSAT and ECMWF.
