Luca Rossettini: D-Orbit and the future of space exploration in Italy

Space Café Italy will be back on the 6th of April 2022 at 6 pm CEST time with an exceptional guest from the Italian space business sector. Luca Rossettini, CEO of D-Orbit, will join Dr. Emma Gatti in an informal chat to discuss the success of its own enterprise, what it means to do space business in Italy, and the evolution and challenges the space sector at large will face in the years to come. Join us for what is predicted to be an exciting and unique perspective on Italy and Space with one of the main players of the modern private sector.

Luca Rossettini is the founder of D-Orbit. He holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and a PhD in Advance Space Propulsion from the Politecnico of Milan, a master in Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability and a certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship. After winning a Fulbright Scholarship in 2009 and after an internship position at NASA Ames Research Center, he went back to Italy and founded D-Orbit in 2011, developing a solution for Space Logistics and Transportation. His view and mission is to seek a profitable and sustainable expansion of humankind in space.

Dr. Emma Gatti, a former NASA scientist, is a broadcaster and a science writer. She follows the exploration of the Moon and Mars and analyses trends in the Space geopolitical sector. She is a host for Space Cafè Radio and the presenter of Space Cafè Italy.

The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions in dialogue with Dr. Luca Rossettini.
