Nairobi to host NewSpace Africa Conference 2022

Edinburgh, 11 February 2022. – The inaugural edition of the NewSpace Africa Conference 2022 will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 25th to 27th April. The event is organized by Space in Africa in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the Kenyan Space Agency. The theme of the event is “Making Africa the New Hotspot for Space Business”.

In 2019 the African space industry was worth US $7.37 billion and is estimated to grow to US $10.24 billion by 2024. This growth  provides   an   immense   business opportunity for new investments in the sector.

The three-day conference will include selected keynotes, business pitches, interactive sessions, panel discussions, and unique networking opportunities among others.

The African Union Commission, NewSpace companies, the National Ministries of Science and Technology and Communications will all have representatives at the event. Other participants include policymakers and government officials, satellite manufacturers, African tech hubs, and many more.

The Conference offers a unique opportunity to actively take part and showcase the latest developments.
