Danish Eva Berneke named new Eutelsat CEO

Paris, 20 December 2021 – New year, new chief: The Danish telco and IT manager Eva Berneke is the new CEO of Eutelsat as of 1st January 2022. She succeeds Rodolphe Belmer who was nominated at the helm of the IT group Atos.

Eva Berneke joins Eutelsat from KMD, the Danish IT and software company which is now part of the NEC Group. “During her tenure, she oversaw the transformation of KMD from a mainly government service provider to a modern, digital company competing in both the public and private sectors,” Eutelsat said.

Prior to that Eva held several senior positions at TDC, formerly TeleDanmark, as Head of Strategy and Head of the wholesale business division. She began her career at McKinsey in the TMT sectors, based in Paris for ten years.  Eva Berneke will also be co-opted as a member of Board, Eutelsat added. She also sits on the Boards of Lego and Vestas Wind Systems as well as France’s Ecole Polytechnique.
