NASA names Susie Perez Quinn new chief of staff

Paris, 7 May 2021. – The new NASA Administrator Bill Nelson appointed Susie Perez Quinn as the agency’s new chief of staff. Quinn served as Nelson’s chief of staff and in several other leadership positions in the Senate and, most recently, as the director of government relations at the National Governors Association.

As NASA chief of staff, she will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of NASA Headquarters and work with Nelson and senior staff to “shape the strategic direction of the agency”, overseeing and articulating various policies and programs, the agency said.

Bhavya Lal, who has been serving as acting chief of staff, will serve as the senior advisor for budget and finance at NASA, the agency added.
