2nd GlobalSatShow poised to be premier satellite-dedicated show in EMEA

Annual trade show and summit to launch SILA: the Satellite Industry Leader Awards     

 The GlobalSatShow has returned bigger and better, offering an unprecedented line up of C-level summit speakers alongside a lively exhibition showcasing the satellite industry’s technological prowess. Key conference sessions on the pulse of the industry will address the biggest trends of today as well as map out satellite’s future. With a truly international focus, the 2ndGlobal SatShow will provide vital networking opportunities, proving to be the most efficient platform for business development. The 2ndGlobal SatShow, taking place on 29-30 November at the Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey, is poised to be the industry event of the EMEA satellite world.

Hosted by ESOA, the EMEA Satellite Operators Association, and organised by MedyaCity, the 2ndGlobal SatShow will bring together 40 of the industry’s most influential C-level players. Together, the trends, challenges and solutions will be identified in key sessions on future co-operations in the satellite industry; mobility via satellite; human missions to Mars; satellite TV expansion; and connected transport. The show’s CEO-CXO roundtable breakfast and luncheons together with the gala dinner offer unparalleled networking opportunities and B2B meetings.

In order to honour the companies and personalities that are making the biggest difference, the 2ndGlobal SatShow will launch SILA: its Satellite Industry Leader Awards. The award categories include:

  • Satellite Operator of the Year – awarded to the satellite operator that has had the biggest impact on the market in 2015-2016
  • Disruptive Innovator – awarded to the company that has redefined satellite connectivity through the launch of technology, products, services or a business model
  • Industry Influencer of the Year – awarded to the personality that has had a significant role in shaping, promoting and bolstering the satellite industry
  • Satellite Business of the Year – awarded to the company that has achieved growth in terms of contracts, revenues, sales, partnerships, expanding portfolios and innovation
  • Satellite Humanitarian of the Year – awarded to the company using satcoms to benefit a nation or region in terms of economy, security, education, knowledge, the environment, healthcare or disaster rescue and recovery

The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony taking place on November 30, directly followed by the CEO Summit. The accolades will be presented by Hakan Kurt, CEO of the Global SatShow. The winners of the Satellite Industry Leader Awards will be chosen by a panel of judges comprising analysts, researchers and journalists, who will determine the most appropriate and deserving winner without any bias.
