Synspective, together with Tri-Sat Constellation Co., Ltd., a Special Purpose Company established by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, and Mitsui & Co., Ltd., has executed a recently announced contract with the Japanese Ministry of Defense for the ministry's satellite constellation project.
With a total contract value of 283.1 billion yen (€1.55 billion), the satellite constellation project is a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) through which the Ministry of Defense will leverage private-sector expertise to build and operate a satellite constellation capable of delivering persistent imagery intelligence in support of Japan’s defense posture.
