SPACEBEL will provide the onboard software for ESA's RAMSES mission to the Apophis asteroid, a critical component that will manage the entire spacecraft, its platform equipment and its payload instruments throughout the mission’s journey.
ESA contracted OHB Italia in October last year to begin preparatory work on the Ramses mission to Apophis and kickstart the procurement process for certain time-critical or long-lead equipment, and finalize the overall design of the spacecraft. OHB Italia has subsequently contracted the provision of the spacecraft's onboard software to SPACEBEL.
