Celebrating Women in Space – International Women’s Day 2025

Today, we honor and celebrate the incredible women shaping the future of space. From engineers and scientists to policymakers, entrepreneurs, journalists, and communicators—women are driving innovation, pushing boundaries, and redefining our understanding of the universe.

At SpaceWatch.Global, we are proud to uphold values of equality, diversity, and inclusion. We stand firmly behind Sustainable Development Goal #5 – Gender Equality, recognizing that a truly innovative and sustainable space industry is one that empowers and uplifts all voices.

But as we celebrate the progress made, we cannot ignore the growing global trend of rolling back hard-won rights. Across industries, societies, and political landscapes, we see a concerning shift—a pull toward a past that limits opportunities and silences voices. We must remain vigilant. Progress is not guaranteed; it is something we must actively protect and advance.

To all the women in space: Thank you. Your contributions, leadership, and resilience are shaping not only the space sector but the future of humanity’s presence beyond Earth. Your work matters. Your voices matter. And your impact is undeniable.

On this #InternationalWomensDay, let’s recommit to building a space sector—and a world—that is inclusive, fair, and forward-thinking. We must not accept a return to outdated norms but instead push forward, ensuring that the next generation—no matter their gender—has the freedom to dream, explore, and lead.

Here’s to all the women making space a better place! We stand with you.
