LiveEO awarded €1.7m by EU Commission

Edinburgh, 9 June 2022. – LiveEO is one of the 74 successful companies from 18 countries selected for the European Commission’s European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator and will receive a grant of €1.7m to further develop its offering.

LiveEO applied with its project, EOinTime, focusing on time series analysis and near real time monitoring based on satellite data, the company said. The aim of the project is a holistic monitoring service using machine learning algorithms to identify external threats and predict future impacts.

Successful start-ups and SMEs receive grants of up to €2.5 million combined with equity investments under the EIC Accelerator program. Furthermore, they will get access to expertise, investors and ecosystem actors through the Business Acceleration Services. 

The 74 companies were selected from over 1000 applicants, of which 266 were interviewed by juries of investors and entrepreneurs.
