Space Café WebTalk “33 minutes with Prof. Renè Laufer” On 12 May 2020

Space Café WebTalks is SpaceWatch.Global’s new webinar series featuring global space experts.

This Space Café WebTalk will feature Prof. Dr. René Laufer, Associate Research Professor at Baylor University, University of Cape Town, and IAA Small Satellite Committee, in conversation with Torsten Kriening, co-publisher of SpaceWatch.Global and COO of ThorGroup GmbH.

The wider space community recognizes that small satellites are not just considered toys any more: smallsats are now a key portion of the space industry. In fact, most of the spacecraft launched these days are pico, nano or micro satellites. So, what are some of the observations in the areas of development, missions and trends from the perspective of an international group like the IAA Small Satellite Committee? Let’s talk smallsat!

The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions in dialogue with Prof. Dr. René Laufer.

SpaceWatch.Global is a Switzerland-based digital magazine and portal for those interested in space and the far reaching impact of the space sector.

This Space Café WebTalk will be conducted in English.
