The Sfax Technopole signed a partnership agreement with Telnet-INC and Airbus Safran Launchers for the construction of a microsatellite integration, assembly, and testing centre.

The protocol signing ceremony was held on Monday, August 14, 2017, at the Sfax Digital Research Centre at the Sfax Technopole in Sfax, Tunisia.

“This protocol aims to make the Sfax Technopole a centre of international and continental sprawl thanks to the partnership between the Telnet Group and the European leader Airbus Safran Launchers, signed at the Tunisia Investment Forum 2020 , as part of the project to accompany the development of a space sector through the design and implementation of a microsatellite assembly, integration and testing unit (AITC),” said the Technopole of Sfax in a statement.

The project will be located at the said Technopole on a plot of 5500 m² and will consist of two buildings: 1500 m² for the test and assembly center (AITC) and an engineering building of 3000 m² with 3 levels: one for the engineering and design of satellites, one for research, patents and cluster in the field of space and another for the development of innovative services in space.
