The launch took place from Launch Complex 36 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The NASA and University of California Berkeley’s Space Sciences Laboratory ESCAPADE mission will use the pair of identical spacecraft to investigate how the solar wind interacts with Mars’ magnetic environment and how this interaction drives the Red Planet’s atmospheric escape.
