Sudan’s First Satellite SRSS-1 Launched By China

Sudan's first satellite, the Sudan Remote Sensing Satellite (SRSS)-1, was successfully launched in the morning on 3 November 2019 by a Chinese Long March 4B satellite launch vehicle from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in China’s northern Shanxi Province, according to reporting in Space in Africa.

In its new survey titled, “Satellite-Based Earth Observation Market Prospects to 2028”, Euroconsult forecasts that the market for data and services derived from Earth observation (EO) satellites is expected to grow by 9.4 percent each year for the next ten years for a total upside market value of $12.1 billion by 2028.

India’s Pixxel Partners With Italy’s Leaf Space For Leaf Line Service Agreement

Pixxel, India’s first private earth imaging company announced their agreement with Leaf Space, a company delivering complete ground segment expertise for microsatellites. The announcement was made at the 70th International Astronautical Congress in Washington, DC, wherein Leaf Space will provide the ground segment support for the satellite to be launched in July 2020.
