The Luxembourg Future Fund (LFF) will be investing in NorthStar Earth & Space, building on the partnership between Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy and the Canadian-based company. NorthStar claims to be the first commercial service aiming at monitoring space via a constellation of satellites.

NASA and the ESA have rescheduled the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) for 24th December due to a communication problem between the spacecraft and ground equipment. JWST was placed on top of Arianespace’s Ariane 5 rocket over a week ago as part of launch preparations.

Kepler Communications will use Spire Global´s system as a test bed for its Aether network service, the Canadian telecommunication provider said. The initial test aboard a Spire satellite is due to launch in the fourth quarter 2022, Kepler said. Before, Kepler will conduct in-orbit testing of Aether onboard two new Kepler satellites.

Chief Executives of leading satellite operators announced that the EMEA Satellite Operators Association (ESOA) is now going to include satellite operators from all over the world. To reflect this, the Association is changing its name to Global Satellite Operators’ Association (GSOA).
