Judge dismisses objections to spaceport in Scotland

Danish billionaire Anders Povlsen’s objections to Space Hub Sutherland was dismissed by Judge Lord Doherty, The Register reported. Mr Povlsen had invested heavily in the proposed Shetland Space Centre over 400 km away on the isle of Unst. The rejection of his objections helps moving Scotland towards a commercial vertical launch capability.

SpaceX cargo resupply mission arriving on the ISS today

SpaceX Dragon resupply spacecraft launched at 3:14 a.m. EDT Sunday on a recycled Falcon 9 rocket to go to the ISS, NASA said. Carrying more than 2170 kg of cargo, it lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. SpaceX’s 23rd Commercial Resupply Services mission is scheduled to dock at the station around 11 a.m. today.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) invests €10 million in the Bulgarian nanosat startup EnduroSat, the bank said. EnduroSat provides software-defined nanosats and space services and serves more than 110 customers worldwide. With an annual growth of more than 250%, it claims to be “one of the fastest growing space companies in Europe”.
