Soyuz launches Japanese space tourists to ISS

Roscosmos and Space Adventures has launched and successfully docked the Soyuz MS-20 space tourism mission with two space tourists on board, NASA reported. The spacecraft docked with the ISS’ Poisk module six hours after launch. The crew of three, including two Japanese space tourists will stay on the Space Station for 12 days.

Japan’s Space BD launches two Australian satellites

Two Australian satellites were successfully launched through Japanese Space BD on August 29, 2021 at 3:14 a.m. EDT, Space BD announced. This marks the first satellite launch for both the State of Western Australia, and the Australian Research Council Training Centre for CubeSats, Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles and their Applications (CUAVA), and the first overseas launch for Space BD.

Japan fourth country in the world to pass space resources law

Japan is the fourth country in the world – after the United States, Luxembourg and the United Arab Emirates – to have a dedicated law for the exploration and exploitation of space resources.
