Government ministers from Armenia and Georgia met recently to discuss a range of economic and technical cooperation proposals, among them satellite communications.

The leaders of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) and the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) signed a landmark Joint Statement of Intent for Space Cooperation on 24 October 2019 during the 70th International Astronautical Congress in Washington, D.C.

Azercosmos and CaspianSat, the company that offers offshore telecommunication services, signed a partnership agreement.

The German Aerospace Center, the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt DLR), and Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), have agreed to cooperate in the exploration and use of space. The signing ceremony took place at the 70th International Aeronautical Congress (IAC) in Washington, DC, the U.S. capital.

Rocket Lab, the global leader in dedicated small satellite launch, has partnered with Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT), the world’s largest provider of ground station services, to be the sole provider of ground station services for the Electron launch vehicle and Photon satellite bus customers.

A new consortium of international companies, called IRSA Development Group (IDG), was announced 1 October 2019 at DEFSEC Atlantic in Halifax, Canada. IDG consists of international companies with expertise in selected technology domains to bring the world an advanced remote sensing network.

On 23 October 2019, on the sidelines of the International Astronautical Congress, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross signed a Declaration of Intent with Centre national d'études spatiales (CNES) President Jean-Yves Le Gall
