GMV joins forces with Lockheed Martin to develop SouthPAN system

Multinational technology firm GMV has signed an agreement with aerospace, arms, defense, information security, and technology corporation Lockheed Martin, to develop the processing and control centers for the Southern Positioning Augmentation Network system (SouthPAN), GMV said. SouthPAN is a joint effort of the Australian and New Zealand governments to provide a satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) for navigation and precise point positioning services.

OroraTech raises €15 million to expand its thermal-infrared climate solutions portfolio

Space-based thermal-infrared data intelligence company OroraTech, has extended its Series A round with €15 million from private investors and public sector co-funding, the company said. OroraTech will use the funding to launch its second space-based thermal-infrared camera in May next year to expand its climate solutions portfolio.
