ICEYE Selected by Government to Strengthen Disaster Response

ICEYE

ICEYE, a provider of natural catastrophe solutions and insights, have been selected by the Federal Government of Australia to supply flood and bushfire hazard data for all states and territories across the country. Several states and territories across Australia have experienced record-breaking flood and bushfire events in recent years due primarily to persistent La Ninã or El Niño weather patterns. Open Cosmos Raises $50M From Leading Impact Investors

Open Cosmos, a space tech business making satellites that gather data to solve pressing global challenges, raised $50 million in Series B funding from three leading impact investors, ETF Partners, Trill Impact, and A&G. The round also included Accenture Ventures, Banco Santander InnoEnergy Climate Tech Fund and Claret Capital Partners, with participation from Taavet Hinrikus and Kheng Nam Lee. The funding will help to accelerate the company’s growth internationally and expand its offering to encompass sophisticated satellites and constellations as well as satellite-based analytics and insight solutions.

Atheras Analytics to Improve Ka-band Link Outage Predictions

Atheras Analytics, a company notable for predicting and managing the effects of atmospheric/weather impairments on Ka-band and Q/V-band satellite links, announced its successful award of a co-funded ARTES development contract for its TEMPESTAS project. GHGSat Completes Funding to Accelerate Commercialization

GHGSat has completed its Series C1 funding round for a total of US$44 million in equity and debt, which consequently puts the Company's total raised funds to more than US$126 million since its inception in 2011. Equity participants in the funding round included Fonds de solidarité FTQ, BDC Capital, the investment arm of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), the Government of Québec through Investissement Québec, Climate Investment, and the Japan Energy Fund.
