On the day of the Crew Dragon launch, I asked a few friends if they would be watching it, as I was hosting a launch party.  As someone who is invested in the success of the space sector, I was surprised by their answer - “the only people who care about this are people in the space community.”

It is an exciting time for space enthusiasts, particularly those who aim for economic development of the Moon. The Moon is awash in new flights, plans, and missions over the next decade – and very likely, far beyond that. A recent graphic by the ESA (below) captures the significant number of missions to the Moon coming more than the institutional or traditional governmental side.
